OUR STORYSejong Taekwondo began when Grandmaster Jin-keun Oh arrived in New Zealand in 1997. As one of the leading providers of Martial Arts instruction in New Zealand the Sejong instructors and Grandmaster Oh teach children, adults, families and the New Zealand Olympic Taekwondo team (2004, 2008, 2012 & 2016).
The goal of Sejong Taekwondo is to teach the highest quality of Martial Arts in New Zealand. When we state this, it refers not only to high standards of technical skills but to the character development and leadership skills that are an essential element of learning Taekwondo. We know from experience that training in the art of Taekwondo helps students in their personal and professional life with an increase in good health. As a result, Sejong Taekwondo training includes skills valuable in daily like such as cooperation, respect, self-control, focus and confidence.
